More Pictures - and a Prayer Request
It has been a couple of days since our last post, so we knew that there might be a few of you who would like to see some more photos of Josie! That is the main purpose of this post ... so, we hope you like the pictures!
The weather took a turn for the better yesterday. For the first time since we arrived in Florida, we had a day without rain! It was actually sunny and warm, and it was nice to feel like we are in the "sunshine state" and not Seattle! We took advantage of the opportunity to be outside, and visited an Alligator Park (in St. Augustine). Of course, Abbie was thrilled for the chance to see some of her beloved reptiles up close (although I must mention that there was some initial concern about the nature of this "park" ... she questioned if the alligators would just be "in the grass" or would they be "behind the glass"). All fears put to rest, we had a really nice time.
As much as we are enjoying our time here, and the incredible hospitality that we have been enjoying, we, of course, are ready to come home! We received a call from our adoption agency last night signifying that she had received the ICPC packet at 3:00 pm yesterday (too late to contact anyone in FL) - this is basically the communication paperwork between FL and CA which, when completed, will allow us to travel across state lines, even though the adoption has not been finalized. This was exciting news, because after talking to the airlines yesterday, we were informed that Wednesday (today) is the last chance we will have to book a flight without having to pay a penalty on each of our tickets (we could actually wait until next Tuesday and there would be spaces available on a flight that we could reserve space on without penalty ... but that is nearly another week away!). At any rate, we are praying that things will work very smoothly today. The flight we are hoping to be on departs at 2:40. With the time change, that makes difference between CA and FL, that makes things a bit complicated. A lot has to be coordinated for us to make it! So please, pray.
We are excited to be sharing this adventure with you ... and please expect more details soon.
Love,
The Broadways

Scott, Katherine & Abbie,
Congratulations and Praise God on our answered prayer! How blessed Josie is to be raised in your family. I imagine you are bouncing off the walls with excitement and she looks like a little cutie patootie. Abbie is at a good age to be a helpful big sissy. We will continue to pray and receive updates.
Love to all four of you :)
Brian, DeAnn and Peyton Bentley
